Critical Information You Must Know Before Purchasing The Diet Solution Program
If you’re thinking about buying the Diet Solution Program then you should read this message very carefully. Just like so many others, I read the sales page and I wondered:
Does this thing actually work?
I mean, the creator (Isabel de Los Rios) makes some pretty outlandish claims. Here’s just a few that sent my B.S.-O-Meter ringing:
1. You don’t have to stop eating fat. Certain fats help you lose weight.
2. You don’t have to count calories for the diet to work.
3. You don’t have to eat boring, nasty foods (the traditional “restrictive diet”)
These are no small claims. Not only do they sound “too good to be true”, they fly in the face of so many other diets out there.
In fact, Isabel says that this isn’t a diet… but that it’s a solution to dieting.
Hence the name. Since I’ve never taken things at face value, I decided to do some research to see if this stuff was true of if Isabel is just blowing hot air. Here’s what I found:
Claim #1 – Fat doesn’t make you fat
This doesn’t even seem like it makes sense. How can fat actually be good for you? How can eating fat not make you blow up like a balloon?
I figured this had to be a blatant lie. Here’s what the scientists say:
Bruce Spiegelman, Biochemist – “While it's abundant in infants, brown fat is almost absent (or at least difficult to find) in adults. Both cell types can originate from the same precursor cells, so we thought (and still think) that if we could find the specific trigger of brown fat, we might be able to increase the number of brown fat cells in obese adults. If we could find the right switch, we'd have a way for obese individuals to siphon excess energy into heat via brown fat cells, rather than into the storage chambers of white fat cells.”
Dr. Louis Aronne, Weight Control Expert – “"I don't want to use the word 'exercise-in-a-pill,' but it's doing something (that's) getting rid of calories," he said, adding that any obesity treatment developed around the fat could be a potential treatment for diabetes as well.
Claim #2 – Counting calories is a waste of time
This is a particularly large claim for to swallow, especially since big diets like the 1,200 Calorie Diet, the Biggest Loser Diet and Weight Watchers are all based on calorie counting.
Here’s what the scientists say:
Barry Groves, Researcher – “There is no need. And it is a distraction from the fact that what you eat is a better moderator of dietary excess than keeping a tally"
Bridget Benelam, Nutrition Scientist - “it's more useful to think of the diet as a whole in terms of food groups, rather than counting calories, making sure you get a balance of healthy foods…”
Claim #3 – Restrictive diets don’t work and are not needed
Most major diets can work. But they are too hard because they require a complete change in the foods you eat. You basically have to eat the most boring, bland foods you could ever imagine.
What kind of life is that? Most of us like to eat, and the idea of eating stuff that tastes like cardboard for the rest of your life probably doesn’t sound appealing. But could it be possible to lose weight without cutting out all the foods that actually taste good?
Here’s what the scientists say:
Sergio Rojas, Certified Conditioning Specialist – “[restrictive diets] tear the muscles open and pull out the sugars and energy out of the muscle tissue…. destroying your metabolism.”
Caroline J. Cederquist, MD – “Eat more without gaining weight… those [restrictive diets] that do offer a sound, healthy, dietary change to get that initial drop, many -if not most-fail at the next crucial step: keeping the weight off. Successful weight-loss programs need to have the component of a distinct metabolic adjustment phase… to avoid the body's metabolic adaptation, after a few weeks, you have to begin to give the body a bit more intake so it doesn't hunker down into "high conservation" mode.”
There you have it: The cold, hard facts.
Trust me, I was as shocked (and thrilled) as you are to see what’s real outside of the sales pitch. After wasting more time and money on diets and pills that flat out don’t work, it’s exciting to find one that does what it says it does.
One more thing you need to know: the Diet Solution Program isn’t the cheapest weight loss system you’re going to find. As of this writing, the program goes for $97.
You can buy other diet systems for less. But for most of us, having a guaranteed way to lose weight and keep it off is worth way more than the $97 price tag. Of course, at the end of the day it comes down to how badly you personally want to lose the weight.

On the Diet Solution Program website Isabel de Los Rios has posted a very interesting video. She explains some of the mechanics behind the diet, among other things.
But what’s really interesting is a “secret” discount she offers during the video. There’s a reason for it, which she goes into during the video. Here’s a link to the entire video.
